The use of digital control and protection equipment and extended control systems (DCS) in the automation of various parts of the power grid, including power plants, has recently attracted the attention of most experts and managers of the power industry. One of the most important advantages of using these systems is increasing the level of reliability and security of the network. In this article, with the help of reliability analysis methods at the HLI level, this issue has been analyzed and investigated in the field of power plants. The result of this investigation is a computational method to analyze the impact of using DCS systems on network reliability, which If the real statistics of the power grid are used, capabilities such as prioritizing the substation equipment of the power plants will be obtained with the DCS system.<\/p>\n
